STOCKS IN NEWS

  • Wipro: Wipro has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate enterprise-wide adoption of Gemini Enterprise and agentic AI. The company is also scaling its internal deployment of Gemini Enterprise.
  • Oil Marketing Companies: OMCs such as IOCL, BPCL and HPCL are likely to remain in focus as crude oil prices ease to around $86 per barrel.
  • ACME Solar: The company has raised ₹1,571 crore in long-term funding from IIFCL for the construction and development of ACME Renewtech Sixth’s 300 MW assured peak power project in Rajasthan.
  • HCLTech: HCLTech has partnered with chemicals and biotechnology company Wacker Chemie to establish its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Pune. The centre will support Wacker’s engineering, IT and digital transformation initiatives.
  • RailTel: RailTel Corporation of India has received a ₹38.59-crore work order from Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) for renewal of cloud data centre hosting infrastructure for various applications, including Oracle EBS, e-Office, BITS, Cotbiz and Kapas Kisan.
  • Great Eastern Shipping: The company’s board has approved a ₹900-crore buyback at a price of up to ₹1,530 per share. The company may buy back up to 58.82 lakh shares, representing 4.12% of its paid-up equity.
  • Tejas Networks: The company has received a Letter of Intent from TCS for supplying RAN equipment, accessories and installation materials for BSNL’s 4G network covering 18,685 sites, with an order value of ₹1,537 crore.
  • NBCC (India): The company has secured multiple construction orders worth ₹134.27 crore from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, the Directorate of Teacher Education and SCERT Odisha, and Canara Bank.
  • Adani Power: Adani Power has entered into a Share Purchase Agreement with its subsidiaries for the sale of its entire stake in Chandenvalle Infra Park to AdaniConneX for ₹535.69 crore. Following completion, Chandenvalle Infra Park will cease to be a subsidiary of Adani Power.
  • Union Bank of India: S&P Global Ratings has assigned a ‘BBB’ long-term issue rating to the US dollar-denominated senior unsecured notes issued by Union Bank of India’s Dubai International Financial Centre branch.
  • Star Cement: Following amendments to the MMDR Act, Star Cement and its subsidiaries will no longer be required to pay mineral cess with effect from August 22, 2026.

BULK & BLOCK DEALS

  • Apollo Tyres: Warburg Pincus-backed Emerald Sage Investment sold 2.7 crore shares, representing a 4.25% stake, in Apollo Tyres for ₹1,174.93 crore at ₹435 per share. The shares were acquired by ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Bajaj Life Insurance and SBI Life Insurance.
  • ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company: Prudential Corporation Holdings sold 98.85 lakh shares, representing a 2% stake, in ICICI Prudential AMC for ₹3,030.3 crore at ₹3,065.47 per share, as the foreign promoter moves towards meeting minimum public shareholding requirements.
  • Foseco India: Morgan Terrassen and Morganite Crucible exited their entire 15.26% stake in Foseco India. A total of 11.5 lakh shares worth ₹678.6 crore changed hands among nine domestic and global investors at ₹5,897 per share.
  • Aye Finance: Alpha Wave India I LP, part of Alpha Wave Global, exited Aye Finance by selling its entire 7.78% stake, comprising 1.92 crore shares, for ₹322.57 crore.
  • DCB Bank: Oman India Joint Investment Fund II sold 37 lakh shares, representing a 1.14% stake, in DCB Bank for ₹80.29 crore at ₹217.01 per share.
  • Happiest Minds Technologies: Polunin Emerging Markets Small Cap Fund acquired 8.3 lakh shares, representing a 0.54% stake, in Happiest Minds for ₹35.68 crore at ₹429.92 per share.
  • Iris Clothings: Nippon Life India Asset Management acquired 11.53 lakh shares, representing a 0.6% stake, in Iris Clothings for ₹6.58 crore at ₹57.10 per share.
  • RPP Infra Projects: CMK Projects acquired 5 lakh shares in RPP Infra Projects from promoter Yagavi N A for ₹2.84 crore at ₹56.85 per share.
  • Wonder Electricals: Nexus Global Opportunities Fund and Unico Global Opportunities Fund sold 75.89 lakh shares, representing a 5.66% stake, in Wonder Electricals for ₹98.21 crore.
