STOCKS IN NEWS

  • IRB Infrastructure Developers: The company’s Board has approved an investment of up to ₹351 crore in IRB InvIT Fund through subscription to its proposed preferential issue.
  • Max Healthcare Institute: Its subsidiary, Alps Hospital, has received a show-cause-cum-demand notice from DGGI, Mumbai, involving a GST demand of ₹165.7 crore, including a penalty of ₹110.47 crore.
  • GR Infraprojects: The company has received a show-cause notice from the Joint Commissioner of State Tax, Ratlam Division, Indore. The proposed demand, including tax, interest and penalty, amounts to ₹321.60 crore.
  • Nitco: NITCO has entered into a joint venture with The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) to develop a 40-acre premium mixed-use project in Alibaug. The project is estimated to generate revenue of around ₹4,500 crore over five years.
  • Bharat Electronics (BEL): The defence PSU has secured additional orders worth ₹730 crore since its previous disclosure on August 10, 2026.
  • Samvardhana Motherson: Its subsidiary, Motherson Electro Components, has commissioned a greenfield manufacturing facility in Pune, adding EMS capabilities to its lighting and electronics business. The facility has an initial capacity of around 1.5 million units annually, with an investment of ₹94 crore so far.
  • Adani Energy Solutions: The company has won a ₹4,700-crore transmission project in Maharashtra for the evacuation of 4,500 MW of renewable and storage power. Its transmission order book now stands at around ₹85,000 crore.
  • HAL: Hindustan Aeronautics and France-based Safran Helicopter Engines have signed an agreement to jointly build an engine for India’s indigenous 13-tonne defence helicopter.
  • Tata Power: The Singapore International Commercial Court has rejected Tata Power’s challenge against a $490-million arbitration award related to an agreement with Kleros Capital Partners for bidding for a coal asset in Russia.
  • KPI Green Energy: The company achieved its highest-ever quarterly capacity energisation of more than 630 MW DC across its IPP, EPC and CPP businesses during the June-August quarter.

BULK & BLOCK DEALS

  • PhysicsWallah: Lightspeed Opportunity Fund II LP exited PhysicsWallah by selling its entire 4.67 crore shares, representing a 1.61% stake, for ₹549.73 crore at ₹117.72 per share.
  • Rubicon Research: General Atlantic Singapore RR sold 1.38 crore shares, equivalent to an 8.37% stake, for ₹2,291.61 crore at ₹1,660 per share. The shares were acquired by 10 domestic and global institutional investors.
  • Billionbrains Garage Ventures (Groww): Ribbit Capital V LP sold 6.31 crore shares for ₹1,238.1 crore at ₹196 per share, while Ribbit Cayman GW Holdings V offloaded 4.99 crore shares at ₹196.06 per share, worth ₹979.16 crore.
  • Welspun Corp: Promoter Welspun Investments and Commercials sold 60 lakh shares, representing a 2.27% stake, for ₹1,365.2 crore at ₹2,275.30 per share. Separately, MD & CEO Vipul Mathur sold 3 lakh shares, or a 0.11% stake, for ₹68.3 crore. The combined stake sold stood at 2.38%.
  • Viyash Scientific: Promoter entities CA Hull Investments and CA Harbor Investments, owned by Carlyle Group, sold 4.75 crore shares for ₹1,259.4 crore. The transaction represented a 10.88% stake in the company.
  • Gaja Alternative Asset Management: Invesco Mutual Fund acquired an additional 85.95 lakh shares, representing a 6.09% stake, for ₹157.8 crore. Its total holding has increased to 7.8%.
  • Avenue Supermarts (DMART): Capital Group-owned American Funds Insurance Series Global Growth and Income Fund sold 67.64 lakh shares, representing a 1.03% stake, for ₹2,537.12 crore at ₹3,750.58 per share.
  • Standard Engineering Technology: Amansa Holding sold an additional 11.58 lakh shares at ₹324.60 per share, amounting to ₹37.59 crore.
  • TCC Concept: Goldman Sachs Asia Strategic sold 4.04 lakh shares in TCC Concept for ₹10.46 crore at ₹258.48 per share.

  • Demerger Ratio (1:1): Shareholders get 1 equity share of HEG Graphite Ltd. (Face Value ₹2) for every 1 share held in HEG Ltd.
  • Amalgamation Ratio (8:7): Bhilwara Energy Ltd. amalgamates into HEG; 8 equity shares of HEG (FV ₹2) issued for every 7 shares held in Bhilwara Energy (FV ₹10).

    • Business: Pure-play Graphite Electrodes business.
