STOCKS IN NEWS

  • Bharat Electronics (BEL): BEL has secured additional orders worth ₹608 crore since May 5. The fresh contracts include communication systems, avionics, coastal surveillance radar systems, jammers, tank subsystems, simulators, medical electronics, batteries, spares, and related services.
  • Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys (IMFA): The company has signed a 29-year power purchase agreement with EG Urja Strot for supply of 65 MW hybrid renewable power under the captive consumer model. The project includes 81.4 MW solar, 102.6 MW wind, and 25 MWh battery energy storage systems (BESS).
  • JSW Steel: JSW Steel is set to develop a major steel project near Paradip in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district, the same region where Posco’s proposed mega steel project could not materialise earlier due to land and environmental issues.
  • Vodafone Idea: Crisil Ratings upgraded Vodafone Idea’s rating to ‘A-’ with a stable outlook, citing the company’s proposed ₹35,000 crore fundraising plan. Vi is seeking ₹25,000 crore in long-term loans through an SBI-led banking consortium along with ₹10,000 crore in non-fund-based credit facilities.
  • Paytm (One97 Communications): Paytm Cloud Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Paytm, has approved an investment of €9 million in Paytm Europe Payments S.A. through subscription to 9 million equity shares.
  • IRFC: Indian Railway Finance Corporation has signed a term loan agreement to refinance debt worth ₹13,527 crore related to the Hyderabad Metro Rail project.
  • Raymond: Raymond’s board has approved raising up to ₹330.88 crore through the preferential issue of 66.57 lakh convertible warrants.
  • Lemon Tree Hotels: The company has signed a new property, Lemon Tree Hotel, Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu. The hotel will be operated by its subsidiary Carnation Hotels.
  • NLC India: NLC India has signed an MoU with Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) to form a joint venture for developing nuclear power projects in India.

BLOCK DEALS

  • Premier Energies: Promoters Surenderpal Singh Saluja, Manjeet Kaur Saluja, Charandeep Singh Saluja, and Jasveen Kaur Saluja collectively sold 2.39 crore shares, equivalent to a 5.29% stake, worth ₹2,290.58 crore.
  • Global Health: HDFC Mutual Fund acquired 10 lakh shares, representing a 0.37% stake in Global Health, from Sunil Sachdeva for ₹122.5 crore at ₹1,225 per share.
