STOCKS IN NEWS

  • Maruti Suzuki India: The automaker has announced a price increase of up to ₹30,000 across its vehicle range effective June 2026, citing continued input cost inflation and an unfavorable cost environment.
  • Tata Steel: The Supreme Court has stayed further proceedings in a GST input tax credit (ITC) dispute involving a tax demand of ₹890.52 crore related to FY2018-19 to FY2020-21.
  • Indian Overseas Bank: The bank’s board has approved plans to raise up to ₹5,000 crore through an FPO, rights issue, QIP, or preferential issue in one or more tranches.
  • Aurobindo Pharma: The drugmaker reported a 2 percent year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit for Q4FY26 at ₹921 crore, compared to ₹903 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
  • LG Electronics India: The company posted an 8.1 percent increase in consolidated revenue to ₹8,054 crore, while net profit declined 8.2 percent to ₹693 crore in Q4FY26.
  • Welspun Corp: Consolidated revenue rose 9.9 percent YoY to ₹4,313 crore, but net profit fell 47 percent to ₹370 crore in the March 2026 quarter.
  • Life Insurance Corporation of India: LIC reported an 11.6 percent YoY rise in Q4FY26 net premium income to ₹1.65 trillion, while net profit increased 23.2 percent to ₹23,420 crore. The board also declared a final dividend of ₹10 per share.
  • ITC: The FMCG major reported a 7 percent decline in Q4FY26 revenue to ₹16,050 crore, while net profit rose 4.9 percent YoY to ₹5,113 crore.
  • FSN E-Commerce Ventures (Nykaa): The company posted a 28.4 percent increase in consolidated revenue to ₹2,648 crore. EBITDA grew 67.2 percent YoY, while net profit surged 286.2 percent to ₹78.4 crore.

BULK DEALS

  • India Motor Parts & Accessories: TSF Investments acquired an additional 3.54 lakh shares (2.8 percent stake) worth ₹40.71 crore at ₹1,149 per share. As of March 2026, the investor held a 21.9 percent stake in the company.
  • Energy Infrastructure Trust: Tara Investments 2 acquired 3.04 crore units (4.57 percent stake) worth ₹231.34 crore from a subsidiary of Brookfield Corporation at ₹76.1 per unit.
  • Sammaan Capital: Societe Generale purchased 68.62 lakh shares worth ₹105.8 crore at ₹154.17 per share.
