STOCKS IN NEWS

• OMC Stocks: State-run oil marketing companies, including BPCL, HPCL and IOCL, are likely to remain in focus as Brent crude prices remained elevated at around $96 per barrel.
• UltraTech Cement: The Aditya Birla Group has entered the wires and cables market with an investment of ₹1,800 crore. The new business will operate through UltraTech Cement under the Ultravolt brand.
• Power Grid Corporation of India: The company received a ₹1,152.49 crore Letter of Intent (LoI) to develop an inter-state transmission system in Gujarat.
• Max Healthcare: The Board approved an additional investment of around ₹87.87 crore through the subscription of equity shares on a rights basis in Kalinga Hospital.
• Tata Chemicals: Kenyan President William Ruto ordered the removal of Tata Chemicals and is seeking new investors to take over its century-old mining rights for soda ash-producing minerals.
• Sterlite Technologies: The company approved a ₹3,000 crore capex plan to expand capacity at its existing manufacturing facility.
• Welspun Investments and Commercials: The Board approved an infusion of up to ₹1,285 crore into Vishwakarma Realty, its wholly owned subsidiary.
• Tata Power: The company commissioned the 400 kV Jalpura-Khurja transmission corridor in Uttar Pradesh.
• Rail Vikas Nigam: The company emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a contract worth ₹404.88 crore from East Coast Railway.
• RBL Bank: The Board granted in-principle approval to set up a 10 MWp captive solar power plant in Karnataka to reduce electricity costs, increase renewable energy usage and support sustainability goals. Separately, the bank received a GST show-cause notice proposing a demand of ₹164.13 crore, including applicable interest and penalty, for FY2022-23.

BULK & BLOCK DEALS

• Meesho: SVF II Meerkat (DE) LLC, owned by SoftBank Group through SoftBank Vision Fund, sold 8 crore shares, representing a 1.73% stake, for ₹1,650.4 crore at ₹206.30 per share. The entity held an 8.6% stake in Meesho as of June 2026.
• Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions: DSDG Holding ApS, an affiliate of the Danish Sustainable Development Goals Investment Fund managed by IFU, sold 16.33 lakh shares, representing a 1.39% stake, for ₹199.3 crore at ₹1,220 per share.
• Knowledge Realty Trust: Meera Goyal acquired 28.31 lakh units, representing a 0.06% stake, from IIFL Management Services for ₹31 crore at ₹109.50 per unit.
• Updater Services: SIS Limited acquired an additional 10.12 lakh shares, representing a 1.51% stake, for ₹23.76 crore at ₹234.59 per share.
• Advit Jewels: Taurus Mutual Fund Flexicap Share Multi Cap sold 4.82 lakh shares, representing a 1.05% stake, for ₹11.63 crore at ₹241 per share.
• KSR Footwear: Alpa Wealth Creator sold 3.38 lakh shares, equivalent to a 1.84% stake, for ₹1.06 crore at ₹31.43 per share.
• Bulkcorp International: Chanakya Opportunities Fund I acquired an additional 1.08 lakh shares, representing a 1.43% stake, at ₹75.59 per share, with the transaction valued at ₹81.63 lakh.
