Can minors invest in mutual funds through RMoney?
  • Yes, you can invest in mutual funds through RMoney if you have a minor account.
  Which bank account can I use to complete payments on RMoney?
  • You can currently complete payments using only the minor's bank account that you have linked with RMoney.
  Which payment modes can I use to complete payments in RMoney Demat Account?
  • You can complete payments using UPI, netbanking, NEFT, or RTGS. You can also link your SIPs to a mandate for automatic debit from the minor's bank account.
  Where do I receive funds from mutual fund redemptions in a minor account?
  • You will receive funds from mutual fund redemptions in the minor's bank account that you have linked to your RMoney Account. The system will reject requests for withdrawal to a guardian's or any other individual's bank account.
  Can I complete payments using the guardian's bank account?
  • You can currently complete payments only using the minor's primary bank account that you have linked with RMoney. However, the exchange will soon allow you to complete payments from the guardian's bank account.
  Can minors initiate SIPs through RMoney Demat Account?
  • Yes, you can initiate SIPs on RMoney for minor accounts.
  Can I purchase mutual funds through a minor account on RMoney?
  • Yes, you can purchase mutual fund schemes through a minor account.
  Can I transfer mutual funds to a minor account?
  • Yes, you can transfer mutual funds to the minor account using CDSL easiest.
  What should I do when the minor turns 18?
  • You must convert the minor's account to an individual account once the minor turns 18 years old.
  Who pays the taxes for a minor account?
  • The guardian of a minor account bears the responsibility for paying any applicable taxes on the minor account.
  Are there additional fees for maintaining a minor account on RMoney?
  • No, you will not pay any additional fees or charges for maintaining a minor account on RMoney.
