STOCKS IN NEWS

  • OMC Stocks: State-run oil marketing companies, including BPCL, HPCL and IOCL, are likely to remain in focus as Brent crude prices continued to trade higher at around $95 per barrel.
  • Steel Authority of India: The stock will remain in focus after LIC reduced its stake by 2%, with its holding declining to 4.63% from 6.63%.
  • Tilaknagar Industries: The company plans to invest ₹22 crore to acquire a 30% stake in Black Tiger Distilleries.
  • L&T Finance: The company allotted 50,000 NCDs worth ₹500 crore on September 2, 2026.
  • ICICI Bank: The bank increased its stake in its life insurance venture by 2%, acquiring the additional holding from its JV partner for ₹1,470 crore.
  • Power Grid Corporation: The company emerged as the successful bidder under the TBCB route for the Rajasthan REZ transmission project and received the LoI, with annual transmission charges of ₹3,244.33 crore.
  • Cochin Shipyard: The company commenced construction of four battery-electric harbour tugs for Svitzer, supporting green vessel manufacturing in India.
  • Blue Star: The company will sell its engineering and electronics subsidiary, Blue Star Engineering & Electronics, for ₹40 crore.
  • Thomas Cook India: Along with SOTC Travel, the company will launch exclusive charter flights to Lakshadweep from Bengaluru for the year-end holiday season.
  • Hero MotoCorp: The company partnered with Swiggy to facilitate affordable vehicle ownership for delivery partners.
  • HUDCO: Housing & Urban Development Corporation signed an MoU with the Government of Bihar to provide financial assistance of up to ₹25,000 crore over five years for industrial infrastructure development, including land acquisition.
  • Page Industries: The company received a notice from the Dubai Court regarding a claim initiated by Yellow Flower Trading LLC (YFT), Dubai, arising from disputes over their UAE distribution arrangement. The claim amounts to AED 113.5 million, plus 9% annual interest from October 10, 2025 until full payment.

  • Pine Labs: Alpha Wave Ventures II LP, managed by Alpha Wave Ventures GP, sold 3.54 crore shares, representing a 3.07% stake in Pine Labs.
  • Altius Telecom Infrastructure Trust: CDPQ Infrastructures Asia III Inc, a subsidiary of CDPQ, acquired 73.13 crore units, equivalent to a 24% stake, in Brookfield-backed Altius Telecom Infrastructure Trust for ₹12,067 crore.
  • Aster DM Quality Care: Union (Mauritius) Holdings, owned by promoter Azad Moopen Mandayapurath and his family, acquired 46.09 lakh shares, representing a 0.52% stake, for ₹350.34 crore at ₹760 per share.
  • Shreeji Shipping Global: Unity Associates acquired 10.98 lakh shares, representing a 0.67% stake, from the promoters for ₹70.85 crore.
  • Wonder Electricals: Nexus Global Opportunities Fund acquired an additional 15.22 lakh shares, representing a 1.13% stake, for ₹11.55 crore at ₹75.85 per share.
