STOCKS IN NEWS

  • Maruti Suzuki: MD & CEO Hisashi Takeuchi said the company plans to add around 500 new service touchpoints across India in FY27. Maruti recently crossed a major milestone by inaugurating its 6,000th service touchpoint in the country.
  • Torrent Pharmaceuticals: The company has initiated a voluntary recall of select batches of Semalix injection disposable pens, used for diabetes treatment, as a precautionary measure.
  • TCS: The IT major reported a 4.61% YoY increase in Q1 FY27 net profit to ₹13,349 crore. Net income rose 8.5% YoY to ₹13,849 crore, while revenue surged nearly 14% YoY to ₹72,275 crore.
  • Anand Rathi Wealth: The wealth management company posted a 24% YoY growth in consolidated PAT to ₹116 crore in Q1 FY27. Revenue increased 18% YoY to ₹336.4 crore, while AUM crossed the ₹1 lakh crore mark, rising 21% YoY to ₹1,06,300 crore.
  • Oberoi Realty: The company clarified that a recent court order restraining further allotment of flats in its ₹16,000 crore Gurugram luxury housing project will not have any adverse impact on business operations. The company said it will pursue appropriate legal remedies.
  • NALCO | NLC India: National Aluminium Company (NALCO) and NLC India have partnered to establish a 1,080 MW captive thermal power plant at Angul, Odisha, with an estimated investment of ₹12,000 crore.
  • Rajesh Power Services: The company has secured fresh orders worth ₹653.12 crore from Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (PGVCL).
  • Premier Energies: The company has commissioned a 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Telangana, as part of its ₹12,500 crore capital expenditure plan to expand manufacturing capabilities and diversify into new business segments.
  • Cummins India: The Income Tax Department has filed appeals before the Bombay High Court against the ITAT order that had granted the company relief on tax adjustments amounting to ₹210.77 crore.
  • SAIL: Bokaro Steel Plant will receive 8.3 million tonnes of iron ore annually through India’s longest slurry pipeline in the steel sector, reducing dependence on railway transportation.
  • Dr Reddy’s Laboratories: The company is likely to miss its FY27 semaglutide production target of 12 million pens due to supply disruptions caused by quality issues in the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API).
  • Power Grid Corporation: The company has emerged as the successful bidder for an inter-state transmission project, involving augmentation and bay extension works at Bhadla-III, Ramgarh PS, and Kanpur (PG) on a BOOT (Build, Own, Operate & Transfer) basis.
  • Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) | GAIL: CONCOR has signed an agreement with GAIL (India) to establish a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) dispensing station at its Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Khodiyar, Ahmedabad.
  • Unichem Laboratories: The company has inaugurated its new 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility at Seetharampur, Telangana. It also performed the ground-breaking ceremony for a 6 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility and an aluminium frame manufacturing plant with an annual capacity of 18,000 metric tonnes.

  • Knack Packaging: Bank of India Mutual Fund acquired 7 lakh shares (0.57% stake) for ₹13.76 crore at ₹196.59 per share.
  • Kody Technolab: Katkar Kailash Sahebrao and Katkar Sanjay acquired 2.46 lakh shares (1.72% stake) worth ₹26.89 crore at ₹1,090 per share.
