How to Fix Common Token Generation Errors in Tradetron?

If you’re facing token generation errors on Tradetron, you’re not alone. These issues can stop your automated strategies from executing trades, even when all your entry and exit conditions are correctly defined. In this blog, we’ll explore the most common token generation errors, why they occur, and how you can fix them to ensure smooth algo trading execution.

Common Token Generation Errors and their Solutions
1. Invalid Credentials – RMoney ODIN
Cause: Incorrect entry of Client ID, Password, or PAN/Mobile Number.
Solution:

  • Double-check your Client ID and Password.
  • Ensure your PAN or registered mobile number is entered correctly in the 2FA field.
  • Avoid manual typing errors by copying and pasting credentials.

2. Invalid Credentials – RMoney XTS
Cause: Incorrect API credentials.
Solution:

  • Use the correct Interactive API details: Secret Key and App Key.
  • Copy and paste these keys directly from your RMoney dashboard to prevent errors.

3. Administrator Error – Algo Trading Not Enabled
Cause: Your account isn’t authorized for Algo Trading.
Solution:
1. Visit RMoney Account Modifications.
2. Enter your Client ID and submit the OTP.
3. Select ‘Algo Authorization’ and proceed.
4. Tick the checkbox, choose your preferred contact method (Email/Mobile), and send OTP.
5. Enter the OTP and verify.
6. Upon successful verification, your Algo Trading authorization request will be submitted.

Additional Tips

  • It is generally advised that clients generate their trading token daily before the market opens, ideally around 9:00 AM. This ensures that your API connection is active and ready when the markets open.
    If your token is not generated in time, your strategy may fail to place trades—even if all entry conditions are met—because the system won’t have the necessary access to your demat account.
