STOCKS IN NEWS

  • Reliance Industries: Jio Platforms has received SEBI’s observation letter on the Draft Herring Prospectus (DHRP) for its proposed IPO. The next step is the filing of the Red Herring Prospectus (RHP).
  • IGL: Indraprastha Gas has increased CNG prices by 5%, taking the price in Delhi to ₹87 per kg.
  • Ather Energy: Ather has launched its new Konarc electric scooter, built on the EL platform, with prices starting at ₹99,999.
  • Cipla: The USFDA has classified the inspection at InvaGen Pharmaceuticals’ Unit 3 facility in the US as Voluntary Action Indicated (VAI), indicating a favourable outcome.
  • Prestige Estates Projects: Prestige Estates has launched Prestige Palm Court in Madhavaram, North Chennai, with a gross development value of around ₹1,330 crore.
  • Max Estates: The company’s board has approved the acquisition of nine land-owning companies collectively holding an 84.7-acre land parcel. The transaction will be structured through a share swap, involving the issuance of up to 70.33 lakh shares at ₹597.50 per share, aggregating to ₹420 crore.
  • Sterlite Technologies: The company has entered into a long-term supply agreement with a leading hyperscaler for high-density optical fibre cable products. The contract is valued at $288 million (around ₹2,400 crore).
  • Tata Chemicals: Its subsidiary Tata Chemicals North America has emerged as the successful bidder in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings of US-based Searles Valley Minerals. The acquisition includes soda ash customer contracts for more than 500,000 metric tonnes, expected to generate over $110 million in revenue. The deal consideration is $21.16 million.
  • Piramal Finance: The company has completed its QIP, allotting 99.52 lakh shares at ₹2,110 per share and raising ₹2,100 crore. Major allottees include ICICI Prudential, Kotak, Nippon Life India, Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, Aditya Birla Sun Life, Motilal Oswal, Quant and Axis Mutual Fund.
  • Oil India: Oil India has signed MoUs with four municipalities in Haryana for waste-to-energy projects involving the processing of 5,000 TPD of waste. The projects are expected to generate 75 TPD of CBG and 50 MW of green power, supporting the company’s low-carbon energy initiatives.
  • Avantel: The company has secured a ₹117.88-crore contract from DRDO for the development, installation and commissioning of a Ground Segment Hub for voice and data communication.
  • Transformers & Rectifiers (India): The company has received a major order from Megha Engineering and Infrastructures for the supply of generator transformers for NPCIL’s Kaiga Units 5 & 6 nuclear power project in Karnataka. This marks its first order in the nuclear power sector.

BULK & BLOCK DEALS

  • Lenskart Solutions: Alpha Wave Ventures II LP and Alpha Wave Ventures sold 2.94 crore shares, representing a 1.7% stake, in Lenskart Solutions for ₹1,856.8 crore at ₹630 per share.
  • Genus Power Infrastructures: GIC Group’s Chiswick Investment Pte sold 35.78 lakh shares, representing a 1.17% stake, in Genus Power for ₹116.12 crore.
  • Religare Enterprises: Investor Ashish Dhawan acquired an additional 38 lakh shares, representing a 1.11% stake, in Religare Enterprises through two transactions for ₹88.16 crore at ₹232 per share.
  • Ather Energy: Promoter Hero MotoCorp acquired an additional 1.18 crore shares, representing a 3.01% stake, in Ather Energy from the Government of Singapore for ₹1,758.24 crore.
  • KSR Footwear: Alpa Wealth Creator acquired 2.45 lakh shares, representing a 1.33% stake, in KSR Footwear for ₹76.66 lakh at ₹31.28 per share.
  • Strides Pharma Science: Promoter Arun Kumar Pillai acquired an additional 10 lakh shares, equivalent to a 1.08% stake, in Strides Pharma Science for ₹99 crore at ₹990 per share.
