STOCKS IN NEWS

  • Railway Stocks in Focus: The government has approved four major railway multitracking projects involving an investment of around ₹9,450 crore, adding nearly 410 km to the Indian Railways network. The projects will cover eight districts across West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh and are targeted for completion by 2030-31.
  • Krystal Integrated Services: The company has secured a ₹134-crore order from Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC).
  • Hyundai Motor India: The company plans to increase vehicle prices by up to 1% across its portfolio from September 2026, partly to offset rising input and cost pressures.
  • Escorts Kubota: The company has announced an investment of ₹2,000 crore to establish a new manufacturing facility in the YEIDA industrial area of Uttar Pradesh. The plant will be spread across 154 acres in Sector 10, Gautam Buddha Nagar.
  • IDFC First Bank: The lender has raised $500 million through debt, with global investors including BlackRock, Capital Group and AllianceBernstein participating as anchor investors. The three-year international bonds carry a fixed coupon of 5.625%.
  • BSE: BSE has entered into an agreement with global index provider MSCI to launch derivative contracts on MSCI indices in India.
  • Oil India: The company has fixed September 4 as the record date for the final dividend for FY2025-26, which was recommended by the board in May. The dividend will be paid within the stipulated 30-day period following shareholder approval.
  • Dr Lal PathLabs: The company has incorporated a new entity, Dr Lal PathLabs Indomed LLC, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and has agreed to subscribe to 70% of its share capital.
  • LIC, HDFC Bank: HDFC Bank said the RBI has approved Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) acquiring an aggregate holding of up to 9.99% of the bank’s paid-up share capital or voting rights. As of August 14, 2026, LIC held 4.11% in HDFC Bank.
  • Dhenu Buildcon Infra: SEBI has barred six entities from selling their shares in Dhenu Buildcon Infra and restrained two others from accessing the securities market over alleged manipulation of financial statements through complex circular bank transactions and cross-shareholdings.
  • Gensol Engineering: The CBI has registered a case against Gensol Engineering and BluSmart EV founders Anmol Singh Jaggi and Puneet Singh Jaggi, alleging a loss of more than ₹672 crore to IREDA.
  • Mahindra Lifespace Developers: The company has entered into a redevelopment agreement with a housing society in Chembur, Mumbai, covering 11,241.7 sq m, for a consideration of ₹142.72 crore.
  • EMS: The company has received L-1 bidder status from the Public Health Engineering Department, Government of Rajasthan, for constructing a water treatment plant and related infrastructure in Kota, Rajasthan. The estimated order value is ₹190.86 crore.
  • Aditya Infotech: The board has approved plans to raise up to ₹1,500 crore through the issuance of securities via a public issue, QIP or other permitted methods.

  • Aster DM Quality Care: TPG-backed Centella Mauritius Holdings sold 5.81 crore equity shares, representing a 6.66% stake, in Aster DM Quality Care for ₹4,451.45 crore at ₹766.17 per share.
  • Shiprocket: Goldman Sachs Funds – Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio acquired 40.24 lakh shares, representing a 0.55% stake, in Shiprocket for ₹52.7 crore at ₹131 per share.
  • Behari Lal Engineering: 360 ONE Mutual Fund acquired an additional 5.05 lakh shares, representing a 1.19% stake, for ₹23.74 crore at ₹470.13 per share. Meanwhile, Sanjay Popatlal Jain purchased 3 lakh shares for ₹14.35 crore at ₹478.55 per share.
  • Updater Services: SIS Limited acquired an additional 5.25 lakh shares, representing a 0.78% stake, in Updater Services for ₹11.35 crore at ₹216.37 per share.
  • Welspun Investments and Commercials: Lloyds Enterprises acquired another 29,960 shares, representing a 0.81% stake, for ₹5.38 crore at ₹1,797.12 per share. In the previous session, Lloyds had acquired 97,622 shares, representing a 2.67% stake, in the company.
  • Waterways Leisure Tourism: Belgrave Investment Fund sold 6.98 lakh shares, representing a 0.96% stake, in Waterways Leisure Tourism, the operator of Cordelia Cruises, for ₹57.65 crore at ₹825.11 per share.
  • Tipco Engineering India: 360 ONE Prime acquired 1.56 lakh shares, representing a 0.75% stake, in Tipco Engineering India at ₹192.28 per share, in a transaction valued at ₹3.01 crore.
