STOCKS IN NEWS
- Airtel: The telecom major has announced a ₹20,000 crore investment in its NBFC arm Airtel Money. Separately, its data centre subsidiary Nxtra has raised $1 billion (around ₹9,500 crore) to support its expansion plans and build 1 GW of data centre capacity.
- SAIL: SAIL and Indonesia’s PT Krakatau Steel are exploring a 500,000–1 million tonne stainless steel project under their proposed joint venture following the recently signed MoU.
- ONGC: The PSU has successfully completed drilling its second geothermal well in Puga Valley, Ladakh, marking another milestone towards setting up India’s first pilot geothermal power plant.
- Paint, Tyre, Aviation & OMC Stocks: Stocks from these sectors are likely to remain in focus as rising crude oil prices could increase input costs and weigh on profitability.
- IndiGo: The DGCA has issued warnings to the airline over multiple non-compliance issues related to the handling of dangerous goods on one of its flights.
- NTPC: The Board has approved an investment of ₹20,456.70 crore for the Lara Super Thermal Power Project Stage-III (2×800 MW) in Chhattisgarh.
- Antony Waste Management: Operations at the company’s Waste-to-Energy plant have been temporarily suspended following a natural calamity at the adjacent landfill. Municipal waste collection and transportation services continue without disruption.
- Mankind Pharma: As part of its strategy to divest non-core assets, the company has approved the sale of its 100% stake in Broadway Hospitality Services to AKRK Projects LLP and Partners for ₹49 crore.
- RITES: In a consortium, the company has secured a ₹79.22 crore consultancy contract from Patna Metro Rail Corporation for the implementation of the Patna Metro Rail Project.
- JSW Energy: Subsidiary JSW Energy PSP Eleven (JEPEL) has secured orders worth ₹443.74 crore from Bondada Renewable Energy for the supply of 200 MW / 400 MWh Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Power Conversion System (PCS) solutions.
- State Bank of India (SBI): SBI’s subsidiary SBI Funds Management has reduced the size of its IPO to ₹9,812.9 crore from ₹11,692.9 crore after raising ₹1,880 crore from 30 investors in a pre-IPO placement. The revised IPO size now stands at 17.09 crore equity shares.
- NMDC: The company has revised its iron ore prices, effective July 10. The price of Baila Lump has been fixed at ₹5,450 per tonne, while Baila Fines have been priced at ₹4,700 per tonne.
BULK DEALS
- Ethos: Quant Mutual Fund, founded by Sandeep Tandon, acquired 7 lakh shares (2.6% stake) worth ₹175 crore at ₹2,500 per share.
- Kalyan Jewellers India: BofA Securities Europe SA purchased 81.82 lakh shares (0.79% stake) worth ₹385.33 crore at ₹470.95 per share.
- Solara Active Pharma Sciences: TPG Growth IV SF Pte sold 3 lakh shares (0.62% stake) worth ₹17.19 crore at ₹573.20 per share.
- Ortin Global: Wave Capital, a San Francisco-based venture capital firm, sold 50,000 shares (0.61% stake) worth ₹8.12 lakh at ₹16.24 per share.
