STOCKS IN NEWS

  • OMC Stocks: State-run oil marketing companies, including BPCL, HPCL and IOCL, are likely to remain in focus as Brent crude prices surged to around $96 per barrel.
  • Reliance Industries: Reliance Consumer Products (RCPL), the FMCG arm of RIL, has entered India’s ice cream market with the launch of Bombay Creamery.
  • Coal India: Coal India offered 210.66 lakh tonnes of coal through e-auctions in August, of which 82.76 lakh tonnes were sold. The average price realised was around 59% higher than the notified price.
  • NMDC: NMDC reported a sharp increase in August production to 40.7 lakh tonnes, compared with 33.7 lakh tonnes a year ago. Sales also rose to 35.8 lakh tonnes from 33.9 lakh tonnes in August 2025.
  • Tata Motors: The company has received the required approvals for the proposed acquisition of Italian commercial vehicle manufacturer Iveco Group.
  • Adani Green Energy: A subsidiary of Adani Green Energy has commissioned a 139 MW solar power project at Khavda, Gujarat, taking the company’s total operational renewable energy capacity to 20,280.8 MW.
  • ARSS Infrastructure Projects: The company has received a ₹104.06-crore work order from East Coast Railway for constructing two road overbridges on the Howrah–Visakhapatnam railway line.
  • Ashiana Housing: The company recorded bookings of 1.67 lakh sq ft worth ₹165.93 crore in August 2026. For the financial year till August, total bookings stood at 11.30 lakh sq ft, valued at ₹1,025.34 crore.
  • ITC: ITC Infotech has received NCLT approval for the merger of Blazeclan Technologies and Cloudlytics Technologies. The merger is expected to strengthen its digital and cloud business.
  • L&T Finance: The company has received perpetual registration from IRDAI to operate as a corporate agent. The new registration became effective on August 31, 2026.
  • Welspun Corp: Welspun Corp and Perma-Pipe International Holdings have signed an MoU with the developers of Jordan’s National Water Carrier Project and the Government of Jordan to develop pipe manufacturing and advanced coating facilities in the country.
  • Gland Pharma: The USFDA conducted a routine GMP inspection at Gland Pharma’s VSEZ Sterile Oncology formulations and API facilities in Visakhapatnam between August 24 and September 1, 2026.

  • EPL: Promoter Epsilon Bidco, owned by Blackstone affiliates, exited EPL by selling its entire 8.44 crore shares, representing a 26.38% stake, for ₹2,032.33 crore at ₹240.57 per share.
  • Happiest Minds Technologies: BNP Paribas Financial Markets sold 10.19 lakh shares, representing a 0.66% stake, in Happiest Minds for ₹37.42 crore at ₹367.23 per share.
  • Symbiotec Pharmalab: TIMF Holdings, owned by Think Investments, acquired 3.77 lakh shares, representing a 0.58% stake, in Symbiotec Pharmalab for ₹37.3 crore at ₹989.20 per share.
  • Wonder Electricals: Nexus Global Opportunities Fund acquired an additional 15 lakh shares, representing a 1.11% stake, in Wonder Electricals for ₹12.12 crore at ₹80.84 per share.
  • SBFC Finance: HDFC Life Insurance Company acquired 73 lakh shares, representing a 0.65% stake, in SBFC Finance for ₹73.73 crore at ₹101 per share.
  • Hatsun Agro Product: Promoter Chandramogan R G acquired 8.25 lakh shares, representing a 0.37% stake, in Hatsun Agro Product from Ravi Kirti Shah for ₹98.34 crore at ₹1,192 per share.
  • Manaksia Steels: Prudent Equity Ace Fund acquired 6.15 lakh shares, representing a 0.93% stake, in Manaksia Steels for ₹6.38 crore at ₹103.83 per share.
