STOCKS IN NEWS
- Vedanta: The company’s demerged entities — Vedanta Aluminium Metal (VAML), Vedanta Oil & Gas (VOGL), Vedanta Power, and Vedanta Iron & Steel (VISL) — are scheduled to be listed on stock exchanges on June 15.
- Cipla: The USFDA has classified Cipla’s Goa manufacturing facility as Voluntary Action Indicated (VAI) following an inspection conducted in April.
- Vodafone Idea: Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla stated that Vodafone Idea has reached an inflection point and expressed confidence about the company’s future growth prospects despite ongoing challenges.
- NLC India: The PSU has entered into a collaboration agreement with CSIR-CECRI to jointly work on beneficiation and extraction technologies for critical and strategic minerals.
- Oil India: The company has signed a collaboration framework with Canada’s Petroleum Technology Research Centre (PTRC) to explore carbon capture, geothermal energy, and other clean energy technologies.
- Dabur India: Following a USFDA inspection at its Silvassa facility, the regulator identified certain data integrity and maintenance-related observations. While the company stated there is no material impact on operations, the facility has now been placed under Import Alert 66-40 by the USFDA.
- Fertiliser Stocks: Shares of companies such as RCF, Coromandel International, Chambal Fertilisers, and FACT may remain in focus after global urea prices softened significantly in the latest NFL import tender, potentially reducing subsidy requirements for FY27.
- Ratnaveer Precision: The company has approved a rights issue to raise up to ₹330 crore through the issuance of fully paid-up equity shares to eligible shareholders.
- Private Banks: Shares of banks including ICICI Bank and Axis Bank may remain in focus after both lenders increased FCNR(B) deposit rates by up to 310 basis points and 305 basis points, respectively.
- HAL: Hindustan Aeronautics has filed a complaint alleging cheating and forgery against a Hyderabad-based supplier for submitting forged test reports linked to components supplied for the Tejas Mk1A programme.
- Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs): Stocks such as IOCL, BPCL, and HPCL will be closely watched as crude oil prices declined to a two-month low amid easing geopolitical concerns. Separately, the government has restricted industrial, commercial, and institutional consumers from purchasing petrol and diesel through retail fuel outlets.
- JK Paper: The company has acquired an additional 15.40% stake in Borkar Packaging, increasing its overall holding to 87.36%.
BULK & BLOCK DEALS
- Lenskart Solutions: ADIA-backed Platinum Jasmine A 2018 Trust sold 4 crore shares, representing a 2.3% stake, through a block deal worth approximately ₹1,900 crore.
- GNG Electronics: Promoter Vidhi S. Khandelwal divested 44.87 lakh shares (3.93% stake) to a group of domestic and global investors at ₹390 per share.
- Vintage Coffee & Beverages: SBI Funds Management acquired a combined 55.32 lakh shares, representing a 3.79% stake, through multiple transactions worth approximately ₹85.6 crore.
