NIFTY INDEX DAILY REPORT

Nifty 50 had a volatile and range-bound trading session, settling with a marginal downward bias, after opening higher at 24,285.05 and touching an intraday peak of 24,313.00, amid robust buying interest in metal and select technology counters. However, persistent headwinds from cautious global cues alongside mid-session profit-taking in banking, financial services, and FMCG heavyweights erased initial gains, weighing on the index pushing it to the intraday low of 24,144.30 before settling the day at 24,219.05, down 32.95 points (-0.14%). While resilient strength in commodity and metal majors capped broader downside, overall market breadth remained cautious, reflecting consolidation and defensive positioning among market participants ahead of key macroeconomic triggers.

The Bank Nifty index faced selling pressure throughout the trading session closing with a distinct negative bias. Opening on a mildly positive note, the banking index quickly lost momentum as aggressive intraday profit-taking emerged across frontline private and public sector banks. The lack of follow-through buying at higher levels, coupled with cautious institutional participation and a risk-off sentiment in credit-sensitive financial names, kept the index under pressure for the majority of the session. Although selective buying at lower technical support zones helped curb extended losses during the final hour of trade, the rebound lacked sufficient breadth to reverse the intraday deficit. The index ultimately concluded the day noticeably lower, signaling ongoing consolidation, heightened volatility near resistance barriers, and an overall cautious near-term undertone across the banking basket.

Nifty Realty index traded with a firm positive bias and emerged as one of the standout sectoral outperformers. Benefiting from sustained accumulation in frontline real estate developers and mid-cap housing counters, the index opened on a positive note and maintained steady upward momentum throughout the session. Strong underlying demand narratives, persistent pre-sales velocity across residential segments, and favorable institutional flows provided solid support to the realty index. Although intermittent profit-taking pared some gains in the afternoon session, buying interest in big names like DLF, Godrej Properties, and Oberoi Realty ensured the index concluded comfortably in the green, underscoring solid relative strength and renewed investor interest across the real estate spectrum.

NIFTY DAILY CHART

The Nifty50 traded with negative momentum and couldn’t manage to sustain at the level of 24,250. But upside in the nifty would only be sustained above the mark of 24250. Else index may fizzle again to the level of 24,100. However, fall in RSI is indicating pressure in the dex. If RSI manages to maintain itself above 5, then we may see Nifty gaining momentum, else downside will become more persistent for the index.

The trend remains sideways to bearish, with immediate resistance at 24,250 and 24,400, while support is placed at 24,100 and 24,000. Nifty continues to trade below its 200-DMA, 30-DMA, and 11-DMA, indicating a weak technical structure. RSI at 47.85 remains below the neutral 50 mark, suggesting subdued momentum, with a sustained move above 24,250 required for a stronger recovery.

BANKNIFTY:

Bank Nifty opened around 57,828.15 and initially made a high of 57,873.75 before facing selling pressure and declining sharply to a low of 57,245.95. The index recovered from lower levels and settled around 57,525.95. The trend remains sideways, with resistance at 57,800 and 58,000, while support is placed at 57,300 and 57,100. Bank Nifty is trading below the 11-DMA but above the 30-DMA and 200-DMA, indicating a mixed technical structure. RSI at 50.53 is near the neutral zone, suggesting that a decisive breakout above 58,000 or breakdown below 57,100 may determine the next directional move.

The index continues to trade above its 200-DMA and 30-DMA but below the 11-DMA, indicating a mixed yet relatively positive setup. RSI at 55.23 reflects moderate bullish momentum, with a sustained breakout above 15,000 likely to strengthen the trend.

NIFTY METAL:

The trend remains bullish, with immediate resistance at 13,500 and 13,650, while support is placed at 13,200 and 13,050. The index is trading above its 11-DMA, 30-DMA, and 200-DMA, confirming a strong positive technical structure. RSI at 65.01 indicates strong momentum, although some profit booking cannot be ruled out near higher resistance levels. A sustained move above 13,500 could open the door for further upside.
