NIFTY INDEX DAILY REPORT
Nifty 50 gapping up at 22,997.35 compared to its prior close of 22,622.70 and testing the 22,700–22,750 supply ceiling. Robust traction across large-cap tech shares, steered by strong runs in Tata Consultancy Services and HCL Technologies, formed the primary engine of the rally, while a firming rupee bolstered institutional risk appetite. Even as banking and financial heavyweights paused to consolidate within tight intraday ranges, strong domestic bids across export-oriented leaders and index-heavy energy stocks absorbed routine derivative expiry pressure, keeping the underlying bias firmly bullish above pivotal near-term thresholds.
The Bank Nifty staged an emphatic intraday turnaround, kicking off the session in green territory at 55,445.75 after settling at 55,316.00 in the previous session, before advancing aggressively to test overhead resistance in the 55,800–55,900 corridor. A decisive defense of the crucial 55,200 support floor during initial trades triggered fresh accumulation across the banking space, marked by steady base-building in heavyweight private lenders and robust institutional backing for frontline public sector banks. This sharp recovery not only reversed the overhang from earlier market softness but also provided crucial structural momentum to the headline indices, effectively absorbing weekly derivatives expiry fluctuations and leaving the banking benchmark on a solid footing well above the pivotal 55,500 threshold.
Nifty Auto index traded higher, starting at 25,255.35 over the earlier settlement of 25,156.75, the gauge absorbed initial supply around 25,125 and sprinted more than 1.6% to tag an intraday peak of 25,635.80, eventually settling near 25,576. key passenger and commercial vehicle have major inflows due to strong wholesale and seasonal consumer sentiments with Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, and Bajaj Auto spearheading the charge. Broad participation across tyre makers and component suppliers further bolstered sector breadth. By clearing the 25,500 hurdle convincingly and comfortably outperforming the broader market, the index confirmed an upside breakout pattern on the daily time frame, positioning the sector with notable strength for the upcoming sessions.

NIFTY50:

Nifty opened around 22,671.30 and witnessed a strong, one-sided rally throughout the session, gaining momentum and touching an intraday high of 23,056.40, close to the previously suggested resistance level of 23,050. The index witnessed mild profit booking from higher levels but managed to settle around 22,997.35, registering an overall gain of 1.66%. The overall trend has turned bullish, with resistance placed at 23,050 and 23,325, while support is seen at 22,800 and 22,650. Despite the strong rally, the index continues to trade below its 11-DMA, 30-DMA, and 200-DMA, indicating that the broader technical structure requires further improvement for a sustained trend reversal. RSI at 49.94 reflects improving momentum and is approaching the neutral 50 mark. Sustaining above 23,050 could pave the way for further upside towards 23,325, while a decline below 22,800 may invite profit booking.
BANKNIFTY:

RSI at 51.59 suggests a gradual improvement in buying momentum. A sustained move above 56,060 could support further upside towards 56,250, while a break below 55,400 may lead to consolidation or renewed selling pressure.
