NIFTY INDEX DAILY REPORT
Nifty 50 traded within a narrow band during a relatively subdued weekly options settlement session. Buoyed by the Reserve Bank of India’s accommodative policy posture, the index started the day on a positive note at 24,641.00 before fluctuating between a high of 24,675.60 and a low of 24,605.95. Market sentiment was largely shaped by corporate financial disclosures, steady foreign institutional investment flows along with easing inflation worries. By the closing bell, the index posted a negligible gain of 0.05% to finish near 24,636, demonstrating typical expiry-day consolidation as strong downside support prevented further dips while firm overhead resistance limited additional upside.
Bank Nifty experienced a quiet session with light price fluctuations, starting the day at 57,815.00 compared to its previous close of 57,739.95. Market participants kept a close eye on SBI’s first-quarter earnings report and digested the RBI’s latest policy stance, keeping the index bound between an intraday low of 57,714.70 and a high of 57,878.05. A steady showing from state-owned banks, coupled with balanced trading in core private heavyweights such as ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank, helped push the banking gauge to around 57,858.80, a modest advance of 118.85 points (+0.21%). The session ultimately concluded as a standard expiry-day range-bound trade, where robust underlying support at 57,700 limited losses, but heavy supply near the 58,000 threshold prevented a broader rally.
Nifty Realty index came under clear distribution, giving up ground following the previous day’s solid advances. After starting higher at 901.40, up from the earlier close of 898.70,the sectoral gauge briefly stretched to a peak of 902.25 before succumbing to persistent selling pressure through the second half of the session. Profit-taking in heavyweights such as Macrotech Developers and Godrej Properties dragged the index down to a floor of 886.20, eventually closing around 886.85 for a 1.32% loss. Nevertheless, steady fundamental demand and a favorable borrowing climate keep the long-term structural outlook for the property space favorable.
Nifty Auto index witnessed steady profit-booking, stepping back from near-record territory following a multi-day rally. The sectoral benchmark started the session marginally lower at 29,375.40 against its previous finish of 29,411.55, reaching a minor high of 29,383.95 before sliding progressively across the afternoon. Sustained selling across key two-wheeler brands and component suppliers, such as Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp, Sona BLW, and Bosch dragged the index to a bottom of 29,050.75. Ultimately, Nifty Auto closed at 29,113.40, recording a loss of 298.15 points. Despite the temporary pullback, steady raw material costs and healthy long-term demand drivers continue to preserve the sector’s broader bullish structure.
NIFTY DAILY CHART
The Nifty50 couldn’t manage to sustain and plunged to the low of 24,604, and continuing its previous day’s sluggishness, nifty couldn’t break the resistance of 24,770 Thus, the nifty must trade above the mark of 24,770, for further upside to the level of 24,800. Else index may reach a day’s low of 24,500.

Equity Market Technical Analysis Snapshot: Aug 06th, 2026
NIFTY50:

Nifty 50 ended the session marginally higher, gaining 0.05% after opening at 24,669.20. The index traded in an exceptionally tight range throughout the session, recording an intraday low of 24,604.15 and a high of 24,677.05, before settling at 24,636.00. The narrow trading range reflects indecisiveness among market participants as the index continues to consolidate below its key 200-DMA while holding above the 11-DMA and 30-DMA. The broader outlook remains sideways to bullish, with the RSI at 62.96 indicating healthy momentum. Immediate resistance is placed at 24,800 and 25,000, while support is seen at 24,450 and 24,300. A decisive breakout above 24,800 could accelerate the uptrend, whereas holding above 24,450 will be crucial to preserve the current positive bias.
BANKNIFTY:

Bank Nifty gained 0.56%, opening at 57,815.00. After touching an intraday low of 57,714.70, the index witnessed steady buying throughout the session, gradually advancing to an intraday high of 58,076.85 before settling near the day’s high at 58,063.65. The index continues to trade comfortably above its 11-DMA, 30-DMA, and 200-DMA, confirming a bullish trend. The RSI at 56.31 suggests improving momentum with room for further upside. Immediate resistance is placed at 58,300 and 58,600, while support is seen at 57,650 and 57,350. A sustained move above 58,300 could strengthen the bullish momentum, whereas the support zone around 57,650 is likely to attract buying on any decline.
| INDICES | SUPPORT | RESISTANCE | TREND |
| NIFTY50 | 24450 | 24800 | Sideways to Bullish |
| BANK NIFTY | 57350 | 58300 | Bullish |
NIFTY MID SELECT:

Nifty Mid Select declined 0.45%, opening at 14,902.95 and touching an intraday high of 14,923.95 before witnessing sharp profit booking. The index slipped to an intraday low of 14,806.95 and eventually settled at 14,812.60. Despite the correction, the index continues to trade above its 11-DMA, 30-DMA, and 200-DMA, keeping the broader trend sideways to bullish. The RSI at 56.92 remains in positive territory, indicating that the recent decline appears to be a healthy consolidation rather than a reversal. Immediate resistance is placed at 14,900 and 15,000, while support is seen at 14,750 and 14,650. A sustained breakout above 14,900 could revive buying momentum, while maintaining support above 14,750 will keep the bullish structure intact.
NIFTY PSU BANK:

Nifty PSU Bank outperformed the broader market, rising 2.20% after opening at 8,547.85. The index maintained a positive bias throughout the session, initially consolidating below the 8,600 resistance during the first half before witnessing a strong breakout in the latter half. It rallied to an intraday high of 8,731.00 and settled near the day’s high at 8,729.25, confirming sustained buying interest. The index continues to trade above its 11-DMA, 30-DMA, and 200-DMA, reinforcing a bullish outlook. The RSI at 63.59 indicates strengthening momentum without entering overbought territory. Immediate support is placed at 8,550 and 8,420, while resistance is seen at 8,800 and 8,900. A decisive move above 8,800 could extend the ongoing rally toward 8,900, while the 8,550 support level is expected to provide a strong cushion against any short-term profit booking.
