NIFTY INDEX DAILY REPORT
The Nifty 50 index faced sustained selling pressure, breaching the critical support level of 24,350 and touched the low of 24,311 before settling the day at 24,395.85. The market sentiment was severely dampened by escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and climbing global crude oil prices above the mark of $85. Further markets saw pressure amid the latest domestic CPI inflation data which rose to 4.45% in July and a weakening Indian Rupee, which dropped to 95.40 against the greenback i.e, dollar. Although the broader market exhibited a visibly negative advance-decline ratio, the index managed to limit deeper intraday declines thanks to targeted buying in select large-cap stocks and upbeat Q1 FY27 earnings responses from companies.
Bank Nifty faced notable headwinds with aggressive liquidation pulling the Bank Nifty down by 0.43% to finish near the 57,635.25 level. Weak broader market conditions and discouraging domestic economic indicators weighed on the banking index. Investors adopted a highly defensive stance in response to the latest domestic CPI retail inflation which rose to 4.45%, an institutional exodus driven by substantial FII selling, and a weakening Indian Rupee. This mounting macro pressure on financial stocks capped potential rebound above critical short-term moving averages, pinning the index within a tight intraday range. If Bank Nifty falls below the mak of 57,500 it can further weaken to 57,250
Nifty Realty index rose by 0.97% to settle the day at the mark of 898.40. The sectoral tracker began the session lower at 889.10 against the previous close of 889.80, eventually hitting an intraday low of 881.85 amid initial profit-taking. However, a powerful late-day rebound propelled the index to touch the day’s high of 899.00. Investor confidence was largely bolstered by a pullback in MCX crude oil prices below the Rs 8,000, alleviating anxieties over escalating high-rise construction and material logistics costs. This reduction in raw material expenditure, coupled with uninterrupted credit flows from primary lenders and housing finance firms, sparked aggressive institutional buying in leading real estate stocks, allowing the sector to comfortably outperform the otherwise sluggish benchmark Nifty 50.
NIFTY DAILY CHART
The Nifty50 continued to slip lower for the fourth consecutive trading session and lost 0.16%to settle at 24,395.85. Nifty50 is failing to break the resistance of 24,500. Thus, Nifty may further plunge to the lower level of 24,260. However, only closing above the mark of 24,500, could trigger further upside to the level of 24,800. Else index may reach a physiological support of 24,250.
