NIFTY INDEX DAILY REPORT
Weighed down by weak international market sentiment, higher oil costs, and persistent selling by overseas investors, the Nifty 50 traded within a tight range. The index began the session slightly lower near 24,050, extending recent losses and fell below the mark of 24,000 threshold. Trading activity showed clear sectoral divergence, like Adani stocks and healthcare majors like Sun Pharma attracted investor demand, whereas rate-sensitive and defensive heavyweights remained under pressure amid chances of rate hike in the September. Ultimately, broader macroeconomic hesitation kept market participants on the sidelines, preventing any sustained rally and keeping the index firmly below the 24,000 ceiling.
Facing steady profit-booking and subdued sentiment, the Nifty Bank index ended the session sharply lower, dropping roughly 1.06% to settle at 57,409.60. After an initial gap-down near the 57,560 mark, a rebound toward the day’s high of 57,766.25 but lost momentum, pushing the index to an intraday low of 57,150.70. Major banking heavyweights drove the broad-based decline, with pullbacks in ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, and SBI overshadowing relative stability in HDFC Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Persistent foreign institutional selling and muted risk appetite kept the index pinned near the lows throughout the second half. Thus if the index fails to reach above the mark of 5,980, then prices may fall towards the mark of 56950.
The Nifty Realty index faced relentless downward momentum, shedding 1.42% to close the session at 891.30. Commencing with a negative gap at 897.65 compared to its prior close of 904.15, an early push to 898.90 proved short-lived as widespread profit-booking across rate-sensitive stocks dragged the index down to an intraday bottom of 883.40. Key real estate bellwethers, including Godrej Properties, DLF, and Prestige Estates, led the drop, largely eclipsing isolated gains in smaller developers. Escalating crude oil values, climbing bond yields, and diminishing hopes for imminent monetary easing weighed heavily on investor sentiment, keeping the sector on the back foot from start to finish.
NIFTY DAILY CHART
The Nifty50 extended its losing streak for the fifth consecutive trading session, and Nifty failed to gain momentum and fell below the mark of 24,000. Further RSI is also seen slipping down and is currently near 40.50 thus showing pressure on the index. Further index has fallen below the mark of 15 EMA of 24,231. Thus the index to gain momentum must sustain above the 24,230 mark for further upside towards the mark of 24,500. Else falling below 23,800 would make the index come down to 23,650.

NIFTY50:

Nifty opened around 24,077.55 and initially moved higher to 24,143.15 before facing sharp selling pressure, declining to an intraday low of 23,952.55. The index recovered from lower levels and settled around 24,055.80, but the overall technical structure remains weak. The trend continues to be bearish, with immediate resistance at 24,150 and 24,250, while support is placed at 23,900 and 23,700. Nifty is trading below its 200-DMA, 30-DMA, and 11-DMA, indicating continued weakness. RSI at 42.86 reflects subdued momentum, and a sustained break below 23,900 could lead to further downside.
BANKNIFTY:

Bank Nifty opened gap-down around 57,560.30 and remained largely sideways during the session before settling lower around 57,409.60. The trend remains sideways, with resistance placed at 57,750 and 57,900, while support is seen at 57,250 and 56,900. The index is trading below its 11-DMA, 30-DMA, and 200-DMA, indicating a weak technical setup. RSI at 48.34 remains below the neutral 50 mark, suggesting subdued momentum. A sustained move above 57,900 could improve the short-term outlook, while a break below 57,250 may lead to further weakness.

| NIFTY50 | 23700 | 24250 | Bearish |

The trend remains sideways to bullish, but the recent decline has weakened the short-term structure. Immediate resistance is placed at 14,900 and 15,000, while support is seen at 14,750 and 14,650. The index remains above its 200-DMA but has slipped below the 11-DMA and 30-DMA, indicating a mixed technical setup. RSI at 47.04 reflects weak momentum, and holding the 14,750 support will be crucial to maintain the broader bullish bias.

The index is trading above its 11-DMA and 30-DMA but remains below the 200-DMA, indicating improving short-term momentum while the broader trend still faces resistance. RSI at 60.31 reflects healthy bullish momentum, and sustained holding above 31,000 could support further upside toward the resistance zone.
