Equity Market Technical Analysis Snapshot: Oct 13th, 2026
NIFTY50:

Nifty opened around 22,364.15 and initially witnessed mild selling pressure, touching an intraday low near 22,288.45 during the first candle of the daily chart. However, the index quickly reversed its direction and witnessed strong buying momentum throughout the session, gaining more than 350 points and settling higher around 22,721.95, registering an overall rise of 1.54%. The index also moved above its 11-DMA, indicating an improvement in short-term momentum. The overall trend has shifted to sideways to bullish, with resistance placed at 22,850 and 23,050, while support is seen at 22,600 and 22,400. Despite the strong recovery, Nifty remains below its 200-DMA and 30-DMA, suggesting that the broader trend has yet to turn decisively bullish. RSI at 43.43 indicates improving but still moderate momentum. Sustaining above 22,600 could support further upside towards 22,850, while a break below 22,400 may weaken the recovery.
BANKNIFTY:

Bank Nifty opened around 54,907.55 and initially declined to an intraday low below 54,735.95. However, the index recovered strongly from lower levels, witnessed sustained buying interest, and advanced to an intraday high near 55,551 before settling around 55,481.05, registering an overall gain of 1.03%. The trend has improved to sideways to bullish, with resistance placed at 55,850 and 56,250, while support is seen at 55,200 and 55,000. The index is trading above its 11-DMA but remains below its 30-DMA and 200-DMA, indicating improving short-term momentum within a weak broader technical structure. RSI at 48.22 reflects a gradual improvement in momentum. A sustained move above 55,850 could strengthen the recovery, while a decline below 55,200 may lead to consolidation or renewed selling pressure.
| INDICES | SUPPORT | RESISTANCE | TREND |
| NIFTY50 | 22400 | 23050 | Sideways to Bullish |
| BANK NIFTY | 55000 | 56250 | Sideways to Bullish |
NIFTY MID SELECT:

Nifty Mid Select opened around 13,628.40 and initially declined to an intraday low near 13,538 before witnessing a strong recovery. The index continued to gain momentum, touching an intraday high of 13,761.95 and settling around 13,761.25, registering an overall rise of 0.94%. The trend has improved to sideways to bullish, with resistance placed at 13,850 and 14,000, while support is seen at 13,600 and 13,500. The index is trading above its 11-DMA but remains below its 30-DMA and 200-DMA, indicating a recovery in short-term momentum while the broader technical structure remains weak. RSI at 41.04 suggests that momentum is improving but remains below the neutral 50 mark. A sustained move above 13,850 could support further upside, while a break below 13,600 may trigger profit booking.
NIFTY IT:

Nifty IT opened gap-up around 28,655.40 and witnessed strong buying momentum throughout the session, advancing steadily and settling around 29,830.10, registering a sharp gain of 5.22%. The overall trend has turned bullish, supported by strong price momentum and a significant recovery during the session. Support is placed at 29,000 and 28,600, while resistance is seen at 30,200 and 30,650. The index is trading above its 11-DMA and 30-DMA but remains below its 200-DMA, indicating a strong short-term recovery while the long-term trend requires further confirmation. RSI at 60.52 reflects positive momentum. A sustained move above 30,200 could extend the rally towards 30,650, while a decline below 29,000 may invite profit booking.
